A - Team-Coach Roby
Coach Roby brings to the team 2 years of coaching experience. Roby has been swimming since he was seven. In the fall Roby will start his senior year of college, where he is dual majoring in Biology and History. Roby is a member of his college swim team and in his spare time teaches swimming to underprivileged children. Roby stays active at school and is a member of several campus clubs
B/B+ Team-Coach Jessica
Coach Jessica brings to the team, 4 years of coaching experience, (3 years with the G.P.P. Mutants and 1 year with the G.P. Gators). Growing up, Jessica was a member of the Mutants for 9 years. Jessica has an impressive list of accomplishments during high school, (4 years as a member of the G.P. South girls swim team, Captain her senior year and a member of an All-American relay team sophomore year). Jessica is majoring in Business Management with a minor in Communications. Jessica does not competitively swim in college however she is an active member of the Gospel Choir and an Outdoor Adventure Club. Jessica enjoys bike riding, going to the beach, shopping, inner tube water polo and spending, what equates to the gross national product of a small country on coffee.
Coach Carly brings to the team, 2 years of coaching experience, (with the G.P. Gators, the G.P.P. Mutants, Special Olympics and Pierce M.S.). Carly was a member of the Mutants and the Gators for 10 years. Carly has an impressive list of accomplishments during high school, (4 years as a member of the G.P. South girls swim team, Captain her senior year and an active member of the Student Council). Carly is undecided on a major for next year, but she has it narrowed down to Orthodontist, Math Teacher or Physician Assistant, or was it Orthodontist. One thing Carly knows for sure is that she wants to continue competitive swimming and be active in campus life. Carly loves working with children and is constantly amazed by their sense of humor and never ending energy. Carly enjoys crafting, going to the beach, warm weather and rollerblading in her spare time.
Coach Kelsey brings to the team, 3 years of coaching experience, (2 years with the G.P.P. Mutants and 1 year with the G.P.P. Public Schools). Kelsey was a member of the Mutants for 9 years. In High School Kelsey quit swimming and joined the diving team for the next 4 years. Kelsey is finishing her first year in college, where she is majoring in human biology with a minor in Spanish. Kelsey can’t wait for summer, not only to work with the Mutants, but it is also here only break from the books. Kelsey is a proud member of the Professional Cafeteria Food Eaters Club in college, where their slogan is, “Go Green! Go White! Go Pizza? As a pre-med major, Kelsey spends most of her time studying in the library. Did we mention that she is really looking forward to swim season.
D - Team-Coach Devlin and Coach Emily
Devlin brings to the team 3 years of coaching experience, (between G.P. Gators,
Pierce M.S., Brownell M.S. and the G.P.P. Mutants). Devlin has been a member of the mutants for
10 years. Unfortunately this will be
Devlins last summer to compete. Devlin
has an impressive list of swimming achievements, (currently swimming for 3 swim
teams, competed in the H.S. State meet 3 years running and several “All State
Recognitions”). When Devlin is not
swimming, he enjoys watching professional and collegiate sports, however he
would much rather be playing them.
Devlin is heavily involved with the school newspaper and its
website. He is the sports writer for the
Varsity Football team and the Varsity Girls Basketball team. He is the President of the Varsity Club. With all that, Devlin still finds time to
read the occasional book and hang out with friends.
While this is Coach Emily’s first year as a G.P.P. Mutant Coach, she has prior experience coaching for the Special Olympics. Emily has been a member of the Mutants and the G.P. Gators since age 6. Unfortunately this summer will be her last summer to compete. Emily has an impressive list of accomplishments during high school, (4 years as a member of the G.P. South girls swim team, Co-Captain her senior year and 4 years on the G.P. South girls Lacrosse team). Emily plans to major in Biology next year, however sees herself changing majors often. Besides swimming, Emily enjoys coaching and playing Lacrosse, shopping, biking and sadly, getting sunburns that will eventually fade into great tans.
